Mac machines supermodel malware

Researchers at the security firm Intego report on the latest Trojan malware for Mac machines. The 'Imuler.C' Trojan is contained in disguised zip files with the name and attractive thumbnail of Russian supermodel Irina Shayk. The Imuler malware exploits a default setting in the software on Mac machines that abbreviates file extension names; this trick users into believing that the malware zip files contain images. Intego advises Mac users to scan for file extension, and report suspicious encounters to VirusTotal.

Irina Shayk is a swimwear and lingerie supermodel, popular in the soccer world as the girlfriend of Cristiano Ronaldo. Her photos can be found in hundreds of blogs and websites; don't click on suspicious files.
