Apple recently issued a patch for the iPhone and iPod Touch software that plugs five holes, that could allow an attacker to take control of the device remotely. Hackers could gain control if the iPhone or iPod Touch user opened malicious audio or image files, or accessed a malicious FTP (File Transfer Protocol) server, Apple said. The popularity of the Blackberry, iPhone and other smarphones makes them a lucrative target for hacking. Recently Paris Hilton’s cell phone was hacked. The cyber crooks got hold of the numbers of all her celebrity friends.
